CATHLEEN MURPHY

 

Cathleen Murphy has been a creative music executive for over 16 years, working with some of the most successful songwriters in the industry. She began her career at MCA Music (now Universal Music) where she worked closely with writers such as Alanis Morrisette co-writer and producer Glen Ballard as well as Aerosmith co-writers Mark Hudson and Taylor Rhodes. She also worked for the world's largest publishing company, EMI Music where she worked closely with songwriters Danielle Brisebois and Kara DioGuardi, who have yeilded hits songs for artists such as Natasha Bedingfield, Gwen Stefani & Hillary Duff among many others. Cathleen also spent 8 years doing A&R for both Hollywood Records and Epic Records, developing repertoire for artists such as Celine Dion, Anastacia, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson & Marc Anthony and helped develop recording careers for the Tony-award winning stars Idina Menzel and Heather Headley. She is currently VP of Creative and Marketing for EverGreen Music, a new and progressive music publishing company with offices in New York, Nashville and Los Angeles. She works hands-on with new catalog and writer development as well as marketing this unique new company to film, television and all new media outlets.
