Dr. Lillie Rosenthal is dedicated to the unique healthcare needs of the performing artist. She is a board-certified physiatrist who provides expert care for the orthopedic and neurological injuries of dancers, musicians, singers, and actors. Her comprehensive and unique approach to the specialized needs of the performer is a direct result of her own personal experience as a dancer.


Her practice includes internationally recognized performers from Broadway shows as well as students of dance and music. Dr. Rosenthal also provides on-site medical care for the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the Metropolitan Opera, and City Opera. She has also traveled as company physician for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.


Dr. Rosenthal graduated medical school in 1988 from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science – Des Moines, Iowa. She continued her training in her specialty field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she completed her residency at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington D.C.
